A name rooted in this town since 1889.

In January 1889, Hezekiah and Sarah R. Davis filed the original plat of Shipshewana. That same year, Hezekiah built a three-story brick building at the corner of Main and Morton Streets, named Davis Hall, along with a brick hotel opposite it. The name has anchored this corner ever since.
